The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Research Development Coordinator to play a key role in supporting and enhancing research performance within the School of Translational Medicine.

This is a dynamic and collaborative role where you will work closely with academic leaders, researchers and stakeholders to support competitive grant development, research initiatives and strategic partnerships. You will contribute to building a strong research culture, enabling high-quality funding applications and supporting impactful research outcomes.

About the role

Reporting to the STM Research Manager, you will:

  • Coordinate and deliver research development activities, including grant support, research initiatives and seminars
  • Provide expert advice and hands-on support for competitive funding applications, including reviewing and editing proposals
  • Identify and communicate funding opportunities, supporting researchers to develop high-quality submissions
  • Develop high-quality documentation, including reports, briefings, presentations and grant resources
  • Support international partnerships and collaborative research initiatives
  • Coordinate research seminars, workshops and stakeholder engagement activities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of research support processes and systems
  • Provide administrative support for clinical trial agreements and research documentation

About you

You are a highly organised and proactive research professional with experience supporting research funding and development activities.

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in research administration, research development or grant support
  • Strong experience reviewing and improving research proposals and funding applications
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving capability, with sound judgement
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced computer literacy and experience working with research management systems
