The Opportunity
The English Connect Coordinator provides a range of high-level services to support English Connect’s conversational English and intercultural communication strategies, programs and initiatives. This includes supporting the English Connect team by planning and undertaking key student events and activities, providing support and training to casual staff and volunteers as well as liaising with relevant stakeholders. This parental leave replacement position also undertakes a variety of general administrative duties to meet the operational demands of the English Connect team.
The Coordinator will oversee and manage tasks performed by casual employees, students, and volunteers hailing from various cultures. The Coordinator will have the chance to work with internal and external community groups, collaborate with other leaders, and ensure the successful execution of a variety of events as a representative of English Connect.
To be successful in role the right candidate will demonstrate:

- Experience working with community groups and coordinating events
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- A desire to learn and teach new skills.
As part of the Student Experience portfolio, English Connect provides English language support and intercultural competency in a co-curricular space to students at Monash University.
