The Opportunity
Monash Residential Services (MRS) has an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of the team as an Operations Manager.
The Operations Manager provides a range of complex administrative services to facilitate the effective delivery of MRS’s operations and services. The position supervises the team responsible for the delivery of all maintenance works (reactive, preventative, statutory), asset management, OHS and ensuring cleaning of communal/student rooms are carried out effectively and efficiently.
As the successful candidate you will be responsible for supervising and administering the delivery of high-quality support services to the residential function according to best practice and or service level agreements and in accordance with University policies, procedures and strategic priorities. Additionally, you will provide leadership, supervision and guidance to team members including work prioritisation, coaching and mentoring, performance development, guidance on compliance with university policy and procedure and encouraging a strong customer focus.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong educational background or substantial relevant skills and work experience. The role requires a degree qualification in a relevant field with extensive relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
