The Opportunity
We are seeking a Medical Student Administrative Officer to join our team at The Alfred Hospital, where you will play a vital role in supporting the MED4100 Psychiatry Clinical Placement teaching program.
About the Role:
In this position, you will deliver professional, high-quality administrative services to ensure the smooth operation of the Psychiatry Clinical Placement program. You will work closely with students, academic and clinical staff, and external stakeholders, including the Alfred Mental and Addiction Health (AMAH) department and Monash University’s MNHS Faculty Course Management Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the clinical placement schedule and support the didactic teaching program
- Organize in-semester assessments and provide comprehensive administrative support to the Psychiatry Site Coordinator
- Maintain accurate records, data security, and produce detailed reports
- Foster positive working relationships with stakeholders to facilitate effective program delivery
- Deliver timely advice and assistance to students and staff, ensuring adherence to policies and best practices
- Continuously improve service processes and update the Procedures Manual

- A tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse groups
- Advanced computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office and business systems
