The Opportunity
The Maintenance Technology Institute (MTI), located within the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Monash University, is a professional research and engineering organisation with a strong commercial focus. Since 2000, MTI has provided world-class engineering services to leading mining companies, including BHP, Rio Tinto, Glencore, and Anglo American.
About the Role
We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will contribute to high-level consulting, design, and applied research on heavy engineering equipment used in mining. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining application software, managing version updates, supporting end users, and addressing the software and computing needs of the Institute.
What You’ll Bring
- A degree in computer systems or software engineering with demonstrated technical proficiency.
- Experience in software development using WPF, ASP.NET Core, and other technologies.
- Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React, and reporting tools like SSRS.
- A strong commitment to excellence in customer service and a hands-on, proactive approach to service delivery.
