The Opportunity

Join the Monash University Performing Arts Centres as a Technical Production Officer.

This role requires you to work out of hours and will require you to work on weekends and late nights.

The Technical Production Officer plays a critical role as part of the technical team at Monash University Performing Arts Centres (MPAC) providing creative and technical assistance and delivering events in MPAC's venues. The role is responsible for the provision of professional technical support before, during and after events presented in MPAC venues.

As the successful candidate you will be responsible for providing technical production services for events in MPAC venues including stage mechanics, lighting, audio and vision, ensuring that technical needs are delivered professionally to the highest standards and in a safe and efficient manner. Further, you will supervise event day technical production teams as required, provide detailed event reports at the conclusion of events and represent MPAC to its clients.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong educational background or substantial relevant skills and work experience. The role requires a diploma level qualification with relevant work experience in audio, electronics or mechanics within a theatre environment, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
