We are seeking a highly skilled Project Officer to join our team. In this role, you will provide critical administrative and project coordination services to ensure the successful delivery of various projects within the Faculty of Science. Working closely with a range of stakeholders, you'll support the Manager of Planning and Operations in developing project and communication plans, gathering and analysing data, and preparing documentation to drive project objectives.
Your expertise in process management and sound judgment will enable you to offer timely and insightful advice to project teams and stakeholders, ensuring smooth project execution.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Provide a range of project support services including: assisting with project scoping and identifying deliverables, monitoring and reporting on project progress, developing and collating documents, reports and correspondence, coordinating and providing executive support to project committees and meetings

Plan and undertake project related tasks, ensuring they are completed in accordance with agreed standards and timeframes

Translate complex processes and issues into clear and understandable goals and targets for the various audiences

Act as a key liaison point including coordinating between various subject matter experts subject matter expert in relation to project progress and objectives and deliverables

Undertake research, analyse results, investigate options and provide recommended solutions to project related issues

Prepare range of project documents, including process maps using Pro-map, position project status reports, papers, briefings, reports communications and presentations for a range of audiences

Build and sustain effective working relationships with a network of internal and external contacts to facilitate communication and support project objectives

Actively participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of project- related administration, processes and systems
To be successful in the role, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

A degree in a relevant field with applicable experience, extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in technical or administrative areas, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.

Excellent administration and project coordination skills with the ability to simultaneously support multiple projects through to completion in accordance with agreed standards and timeframes

Excellent planning and organisational skills, with experience establishing priorities and meeting deadlines

Demonstrated ability to work as an effective member of a team as well as the ability to work with independence, judgement and initiative

Strong relationship building skills, including the ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders

Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills

Highly-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including experience in developing professional documentation and presentations

Advanced computer literacy with the ability to use project management and process mapping software
