The Opportunity

As the first point of contact for all general Library enquiries from Monash students, staff, alumni and the general public, you will be an advocate for self-service and will also assist the broader Monash Library team in delivering high quality, accurate and timely Library services.

Enquiries are responded to across a range of contact points using electronic, face-to-face and telephone communication methods. You will be a key contributor as the awareness and productive use of Library spaces, resources and services is underpinned by the frontline services team, contributing to the student experience and supporting academics and researchers in their endeavours.

To succeed in this role, you will bring your commitment to customer service and operational excellence and renewal. You also bring your experience at not only building strong relationships but developing internal staff knowledge and skills in a way that broadens key skill sets and builds organisational capability.

The Organisation

Central to our 2020-2025 strategy is the vision of being a ‘modern, global top 100 library’ where our content, collections, facilities, services and culture represent best practice and collectively make a significant contribution to the University’s reputation and impact. We continually evaluate what we do in relation to the University’s goals and always look ‘through our users’ eyes’. While we work to ensure that our users’ experiences with the Library are productive, useful, efficient and rewarding, we aspire to delight by exceeding their expectations.
