The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Senior Manager, Donor Relations at Monash University to lead and shape our philanthropic future! As Senior Manager, Donor Relations, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the University’s ability to secure, retain, and grow philanthropic support by developing the University’s reputation as a trusted philanthropic partner
As Senior Manager, Donor Relations, you will lead the gift confirmation, implementation, and processing functions while overseeing major donor stewardship programs. Providing expert guidance on gift agreements, you’ll ensure alignment with donor intent and University policies, and collaborate with key stakeholders to manage gift confirmations and ensure compliance with legislative and procedural requirements. Your leadership will inspire a team to deliver efficient donor relations services, including donation processing, acknowledgements, and engagement events, while driving a comprehensive stewardship program to enhance donor retention and growth. Additionally, you will manage budgets and continuously improve systems and procedures to uphold best practices in philanthropic governance.
About YOU!
To be successful in this position, you will have proven experience leading, developing and coaching a team, with the ability to collaborate across all levels. You will have a good understanding of governance in a large complex organisation and experience in developing procedure and practice in line with organisation policy and relevant legislation. You’ll possess excellent organisational, communication and problem solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, provide strategic advice and influence and negotiate with a diverse range of stakeholders on complex issues.
