The Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic and communicative individual to fulfil the role of Senior Student Recruitment Coordinator in the Faculty of Arts. You will contribute to the development of the recruitment plan, raise the profile and understanding of the Faculty’s courses to high-achieving future undergraduate and graduate students and foster positive relationships with both internal and external contacts. With a focus on building strong client relations, the role is that of a specialist speaker and event coordinator who will facilitate input into the student recruitment process, including the delivery of specialist advice to prospective students and other stakeholders.

As such, you will be responsible for:

  • Implementing recruitment activities: Working with the faculty,  central & international recruitment teams to activate key flagship domestic and international recruitment activities (i.e. Open Day, Change of Preference, Discover Monash Events) to attract prospective students
  • Foster and utilize relationships: Work collaboratively and maintain strong connections with the marketing and events team, academics, current students, student services, regional managers, the alumni team, and in-country recruiters to deliver valuable recruitment events that will resonate and attract new students
  • Communication and presentation skills: Working closely with the marketing & events team in further developing and delivering tailored presentations and messages to agents, parents and prospective students
  • Manage student ambassador program: Develop and manage student ambassador program whereby students share their personal stories and experiences, with the end result of creating a more engaging and compelling narrative for prospective students
  • Track metrics: Monitor and report on recruitment metrics to assess the effectiveness of recruitment tactics
  • Travel responsibilities: Willingness to travel interstate or overseas as required

Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills coupled with your proven ability to work effectively with clients of varying demographics will see you succeed in this role.
