The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Executive Officer to assist with a range of executive secretarial, office management, and communications services to support the Office of the Vice-Chancellor and President.
The Executive Officer will be responsible for producing and editing papers, briefings, and presentations, supporting committees and working groups, and developing and deploying the Office of the Vice-Chancellor’s program of communications and governance activities. Acting as a liaison between senior management, stakeholders, and clients, the Executive Officer will also devise communication solutions for complex issues and conduct research, analyse information, and offer advice on sensitive matters. Additionally, the role involves driving continuous improvement in business practices, supporting projects, and ensuring compliance and efficiency within the office.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have demonstrated experience in coordinating functions or administrative processes, with a strong focus on delivering excellent customer service. You should possess proven writing and editing skills, with the ability to create content for speeches and social media, with a good awareness of current events. Strong planning, organisational, and administrative skills are essential, along with attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information. Excellent relationship management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, along with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, are also key to interacting with stakeholders and providing expert advice.
