The Opportunity
Monash University is seeking a highly skilled Senior Educational Designer for a 12-month maternity leave replacement position. This role is key to supporting the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in achieving its strategic educational objectives.
As Senior Educational Designer, you will be responsible for delivering strategic, evidence-informed educational design expertise, facilitating the adoption of new educational approaches, educational technologies, and innovative learning spaces. You will play a vital role in supporting the faculty’s strategic goals by leading the development of educational resources, building faculty capability, and providing consultative support to both academic and professional staff.
The role may involve the development and implementation of strategic communications and change management initiatives related to education design and unit enhancement, in partnership with the DVC (Education) Portfolio. This includes collaborating with key stakeholders, including the MEA and cross-faculty Senior Educational Designers, to gather feedback, develop standards and exemplar practices, deliver academic development programs, and provide strategic insights into Monash-wide education initiatives.
Educational Research is a growing strength within the Faculty, particularly within the Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences Education Theme (PPS-Ed). Staff conduct pioneering research that drives innovative, evidence-based teaching strategies, including active learning, experiential placements, communication skills, critical thinking, and personalized student coaching.
If you are passionate about educational design and eager to contribute to an environment of innovation and excellence, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
