We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Teaching Support Officer to join our team and provide exceptional support to the School’s teaching program. The role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including academic staff, unit coordinators, and students, to ensure the seamless delivery of educational activities including practical classes. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining strong working relationships, providing accurate advice, and supporting student inquiries in a timely and professional manner. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual passionate about enhancing the student experience and supporting a vibrant academic community.
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for delivering effective administrative support, including managing processes, responding to queries, advising on policies, supporting committees, and producing reports. You will provide high-quality customer service, ensure privacy and compliance, and assist with data input, analysis, and security. Additionally, you will offer timely advice to staff and stakeholders, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues. You will also assist with managing teaching equipment and classroom setups, as well as other duties as required.
To succeed in this role, you will need a relevant qualification, substantial experience, or a combination of both. Strong administrative, organisational, and customer service skills are essential, with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and work both independently and in a team.
You should have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse clients. Proficiency in Moodle, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite is required, and experience in a science teaching environment or laboratory is preferred.
