The Opportunity

The Faculty of Engineering at Monash University is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Coordinator to support the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. This pivotal role integrates administrative coordination with a primary focus on Health, Safety, and Wellbeing (HSW), ensuring compliance with Monash University's HSW framework and fostering a safe, supportive environment for all staff and students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative & Event Coordination: Provide high-level administrative support to academic and professional staff, including planning, coordinating, and delivering departmental events and initiatives.
  • Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW): Contribute to HSW planning and reporting, manage event risk assessments, and serve as the Deputy Safety Officer, fostering a safe and supportive work environment.
  • Operational Support: Facilitate daily operations, offering professional and timely advice to staff, students, and stakeholders across various functional areas.
