The Opportunity
Are you a strategic thinker wanting to drive innovation and excellence in library services? Monash University Library is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our Senior Leadership Team as the Strategy, Governance and Implementation Manager.
About the Role: As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Monash University Library. You’ll lead the development and implementation of strategic plans, budgets, workforce plans, and policies, ensuring alignment with the University's research, education, and engagement objectives. Your expertise will drive continuous improvement, innovation, and cultural change across the Library.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the University Librarian, Directors, and Senior Leadership Team to develop and execute strategic and operational plans.
- Lead the analysis and reporting of occupancy, financial, and HR data to support evidence-based decision-making.
- Drive strategic workforce planning and capability building for Library staff.
- Prepare specialised reports and provide strategic advice on complex issues.
- Develop and implement Library policies and practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage significant strategic projects from conception to delivery.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Build and sustain high-level relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee budget management and financial reporting.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Postgraduate qualifications in Library and Information Management, Strategic Planning, Project Management, Business Analytics, or a related discipline, or extensive management experience.
- Proven expertise in strategic and operational planning, policy development, and project management.
- Exceptional communication and relationship management skills.
- Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.
- A deep understanding of university and library operations.
