The Investments and Treasury Division is responsible for managing the University’s cash and liquidity, including short and long term investments, foreign currency, debt strategy and capital raising and management of the credit rating (currently Aa1 with Moody’s), with a focus on the University’s ongoing financial performance. 

The Opportunity

Supporting the Deputy Treasurer, we are seeking an experienced Treasury Manager to assist in the management of the University’s Capital Management and liquidity strategy. 

This position is responsible for managing all treasury related financial analysis to support decisions and long-term forecasts, and supporting the modernisation of the Treasury function, including the implementation of a new Treasury Management System. The successful applicant will also provide leadership and coaching to members of the Treasury team. 

About You

As the successful candidate, you will have:

  • Postgraduate qualifications including CPA, CA and/or CFA and extensive, relevant experience
  • Extensive experience in Corporate Finance, treasury, debt capital markets, financial modelling and valuations
  • Exceptional management and leadership experience 
  • Highly developed numerical, conceptual and analytical skills, and technical expertise to resolve complex operational, compliance and legislative/policy issues
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build successful relationships, influence, negotiate and achieve consensus
