The Opportunity
Monash University’s Department of Occupational Therapy is seeking a passionate and innovative Lecturer (Education-Focused) for a part-time, 7-month fixed-term appointment. This role is ideal for an academic with a strong foundation in occupational therapy theory and professional expertise in areas such as mental health, psychosocial disability, or aged care. As part of Monash’s elite cohort of education-focused staff, the successful candidate will contribute to the design and delivery of high-quality, evidence-informed education, playing a key role in shaping the future of occupational therapy education.
The Lecturer will primarily support teaching within the renowned Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) program, contributing to curriculum delivery, coordination, and potential development in their area of expertise. The role involves leading workshops, utilising e-learning tools, and supporting simulation and practice education to develop students' professional skills. The appointee may also supervise students involved in community practice or research projects. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking academic community focused on educational innovation and excellence.
The successful candidate will ideally have a current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of the Australian Health Professions Registration Authority (Ahpra).
