The Opportunity

Disability Support Services have an exciting opportunity available as a Senior Triage Disability Adviser.

The Senior Triage Disability Adviser provides a range of high-level administrative and coordination services to support Disability Support Services (DSS).

As the successful candidate you will be responsible for conducting assessments to evaluate if medical documentation submitted by students meets the required standards for disability registration, while liaising with students on any insufficient documentation and providing necessary guidance. You will ensure consistent application of medical documentation requirements to aid advisers in focusing on complex cases, and perform additional duties as directed to align with the mission and goals of the Disability Support Service, including managing a caseload of students and providing specialist advice for staff and students with disability.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong educational background in a disability-related field or substantial relevant skills and work experience. The role requires a degree in a relevant field with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
