The Opportunity

The Monash Business School is among the 1% of business schools worldwide to be awarded ‘triple accreditation’ by the major global business school accreditation bodies – AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA. The Monash Business School is one that prides itself on its strategic research and development. The Research Services portfolio is currently looking to recruit a Graduate Research Coordinator to join their professional team.

Reporting to the Graduate Research Manager, the focus of this role will be on the end-to-end graduate student management processes, particularly within the Admissions and Scholarships portfolio. As part of a dedicated team, you will also contribute to the coordination of events for graduate research stakeholders, and to a range of projects as we continuously improve our service offering.

As the successful candidate you will have excellent analytical and communication skills to provide sound and tailored advice to future and current graduate research students, and to academic staff on graduate research policy, rules and requirements.

Your problem-solving skills and attention to detail will be integral to day-to-day workflows, as well as contributing to longer-horizon projects and business process improvement. Your strong interpersonal skills will be essential for providing supportive and empathetic pastoral care to graduate research students from diverse cultural backgrounds.

The appointee will have a degree in a relevant field with subsequent relevant experience, or extensive experience and specialist expertise, or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.

If this sounds like a position that suits your current career focus we look forward to hearing from you.
