The Opportunity
The office of the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice-President has an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Financial Accounting Manager.
The Financial Accounting Manager leads and manages a highly dedicated and expert finance team and is responsible for statutory consolidated financial reporting and audit for a large, complex and globally diverse set of operations and entity structures, and oversees the financial accounting functions of the University.
The position works closely with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders and reports to the Group Financial Controller to deliver high-quality, successful and timely financial reporting and analysis and to ensure that reporting meets timeframes and is compliant with the Accounting Standards, Financial Regulations and Standing Directions.
As the successful candidate you will be responsible for managing the delivery of the group’s key financial accounting functions, including:
- University-wide month-end and year-end close-off; and
- financial analysis for year-end, month-end, and other periodic reporting; and
- technical advice on transactions impacting the University’s financial performance; and
- completion of various external reporting required to complete mandatory State and Federal Government, and other external organisations.
