The Opportunity
A new opportunity has become available for a professional with technical skills in laboratory and building management, wanting to make a meaningful impact in cutting-edge research.
The BDI Infrastructure Team within the Biomedicine Discovery Institute (BDI) is seeking a Technical Services Manager. The role is responsible for overseeing and delivering high-quality technical services, operational building and facility support, and administrative support for researchers, staff, students, and onsite facilities, including laboratory and facility operations, to support the Biomedicine Discovery Institute (research and platforms). The Technical Services Manager will perform a range of significant and complex technical activities that play a critical role in supporting the delivery of BDI outcomes while ensuring a compliant and safe operating environment.
You'll contribute to key planning, sharing your insights and expertise in facilities, infrastructure, and equipment management. This role requires the application of advanced technical methods, data analysis, and risk management strategies to ensure compliance with safety standards, operational policies, and regulatory requirements.
In addition to your operational leadership, you'll provide specialist advice and training to diverse stakeholders, promoting the safe and effective use of our cutting-edge facilities and infrastructure. Reporting directly to the BDI Facilities and Infrastructure Manager, you'll be part of a dedicated team committed to supporting scientific discovery and innovation at every level.
