The Opportunity
The Buildings and Property division is charged with leadership, management and innovation in the provision of high-quality non-academic services to Monash students and staff. The Buildings and Property Division aims to create a vibrant, inclusive, caring and safe campus experience for students and staff through the provision of innovative non-academic programs and services, which strengthen community and foster wellbeing and performance. The Community Safety and Security team within Buildings and Property is responsible for ensuring a safe environment at all Monash campuses, and is currently seeking a Senior Security Coordinator to help support this objective.
The Senior Security Coordinator position is responsible for maintaining and enhancing a safe and secure campus environment for students, staff and visitors to the University by ensuring the provision of effective University-wide physical security services; including ensuring an appropriate response to incidents and issues. The incumbent is expected to develop, support, coordinate and promote relevant physical security and safety strategies, and ensure security contractors are trained and managed sufficiently to discharge their duties to a high level.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong educational background or substantial skills and work experience.
