The Opportunity
Monash University Library is looking for someone to be our Ada Booth Senior Project Manager and lead a comprehensive review of the Ada Booth collection, assessing materials, usage and value in supporting education, research and community engagement.
In addition to the review, you will actively support and engage current users of the collection, enhancing its visibility and impact across the University and beyond. This role requires strong project management capabilities, including the ability to meet deadlines, assess and allocate resources, manage budgets, and implement effective change where needed.
The Ada Booth Senior Project Manager provides expert guidance to senior management, contributes to strategic planning, and ensures the successful delivery of initiatives related to the collection. Acting as a key liaison between the Library, the broader University, and both internal and external stakeholders, the role works collaboratively to ensure that all projects are aligned with Monash’s strategic priorities in research and education.
We’re seeking a candidate with strong project management expertise and a proven ability to deliver medium to large-scale projects on time and within budget. You’ll have highly developed planning and organisational skills, experience in resource allocation, and a strong understanding of the higher education research and teaching environment. Demonstrated experience in applying service design to library or cultural collections, along with knowledge of collection development and management practices, is essential. Excellent relationship management, communication, and research skills are key, as is the ability to influence senior stakeholders and deliver innovative, client-focused solutions.
If this sounds like a position that suits your current career focus we look forward to hearing from you.
