The Opportunity

Monash University Library is seeking a skilled Librarian to help drive strategic projects and deliver high-quality research and education support services. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Australia’s leading academic libraries and contribute to its innovative and forward-thinking environment.

As a Librarian, you will work as part of different agile teams to support the development and delivery of library services for researchers, graduate researchers, educators and students. Responsibilities include guiding and advising on scholarly communication, open research, and research visibility, and delivering research training to students. The position supports the range of programs and projects to enhance education support and the delivery of courses and programs. This includes readings advice, including advice on adopting, adapting and creating Open Educational Resources, delivery of information literacy workshops, and development of online learning resources. The position supports the study and learning of coursework students, contributing to the student experience and student retention through a range of programs and services.

To succeed in this role, you will need a strong understanding of research and education practices, solid organisational and project management skills, proven experience in library enquiry and information services, and familiarity with technologies and tools used to deliver digital content.
