Pro-rata of $83,280 - $113,025 pa Level A (plus 17% employer superannuation)

Pro-rata of $118,974 - $141,283 pa Level B (plus 17% employer superannuation)

The Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic research team focused on improving mental health outcomes for asylum seekers and refugees. As a Research Fellow, you will contribute to a diverse and meaningful program of work that includes literature reviews, field research, data analysis and scientific writing. The role also involves preparing ethics applications and presenting research findings at national and international conferences, helping to drive real-world impact.

This position offers the opportunity to help shape future research directions within a collaborative and supportive environment. The Research Fellow will contribute to publications and competitive funding proposals while also guiding junior researchers and supporting student supervision. The role provides valuable opportunities for professional development and cross-sector knowledge exchange.

The ideal candidate will hold a doctoral qualification or possess equivalent research experience in a relevant field, with demonstrated expertise in working with refugee and asylum seeker populations. Strong skills in statistical analysis, manuscript preparation and the use of software such as SPSS, Stata, R or Python are also essential.
