The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Enterprise Intelligence and Insights division in a high-impact senior leadership position and lead strategic functions that are critical to the University’s reputation and research performance.
As the Director, Strategic Intelligence you will lead the design, development and delivery of strategic research performance analytics, working closely with University Senior Leadership to deliver advice and insights to inform strategic planning and evidence-based decision making.
You will lead the strategic management and analysis of university rankings, including global, subject-specific, and sustainability rankings, to enhance institutional performance, while developing robust analytic programs and key performance indicators relating to research performance and reputation.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Deep expertise in the higher education sector, with a strong understanding of organisational structures and functions, developments and trends in the higher education and related sectors, in Australia and overseas, especially areas related to research performance.
- Exceptional analytical capabilities, including knowledge of planning and management information processes and of the techniques involved in planning, modelling and complex analysis
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence with diverse internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated understanding of government strategy, policy regulatory, reporting requirements and funding methodologies affecting Australian Universities
- Proven leadership excellence, including the ability to guide, mentor and motivate teams, driving successful outcomes and an innovative and customer focused professional team culture
