The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Readings Officer to join our dynamic Library Technologies, Discovery and Access team.
In this vital role, you’ll be at the heart of our Readings service, ensuring course materials are accessible, accurate, and up to date. You’ll work closely with academic staff and librarians, manage digitised content, and maintain high standards across Reading List metadata quality and workflow efficiency.
As the first point of contact for enquiries, your excellent communication and customer service skills will shine as you provide timely, professional support to a wide range of stakeholders.
What You’ll Do:
- Create and update course readings in collaboration with academic staff and librarians
- Manage digitised content and ensure metadata accuracy
- Deliver high quality customer service and administrative support
- Maintain records, generate reports, and contribute to service improvements
- Support library projects, events, and general operations
What You’ll Bring:
- A diploma in library/information studies or equivalent experience
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business software tools
- A collaborative spirit and the ability to work independently
