The Opportunity
As the Legal Operations Officer at Monash University, you will provide vital administrative and operational support to the Office of the General Counsel (OGC). You’ll also contribute to the success of the OGC’s 2025 Simplification and Improvement Projects, helping redefine workflows and drive greater efficiency across legal processes over a six-month period.
This position will be responsible for delivering a wide range of administrative services that support the OGC’s day-to-day operations. You’ll support key processes and project implementation, helping to organise and maintain data across systems to enhance financial reporting and dashboard accuracy. Collaborating with various teams, you’ll contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, assist in the delivery of streamlined workflows, and ensure the highest standards of service, compliance, and confidentiality are maintained. Your work will directly support the delivery of enhanced, client-focused legal services at Monash.
To be successful in this role you will have exceptional communication and trouble-shooting skills, along with strong attention to detail and a customer-focused mindset. You’ll bring excellent time management, sound judgement, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Your digital literacy and adaptability in using multiple online platforms, with a commitment to confidentiality, will be essential in supporting high-quality outcomes within a dynamic legal environment.
