The Opportunity
The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education) and Senior Vice-President has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Governance Officer. In this role, you’ll contribute to shaping the University’s education policies and play a key role in supporting processes that uphold fairness and accountability for students. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in policy development, stakeholder engagement, and appeals coordination within a dynamic team environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and coordinate the review of education policy and procedures, ensuring they are clear, trauma-informed and align with regulatory expectations
- Engage with stakeholders across the University to identify challenges, gather feedback, and understand the drivers for change
- Coordinate the exclusion appeals process, ensuring it runs efficiently and in line with policy
- Respond to enquiries and provide clear and accurate advice on education policy matters
- Draft and edit policy documents, communications, and briefing materials with clarity and attention to detail
