The Opportunity

eSolutions is a dynamic and innovative team, with a goal to enable Monash to deliver the best possible academic experience and research outcomes through the provision of high-quality technology and enhanced ICT services.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Solutions Consultant to join our team to deliver innovative solutions to our Faculties and Professional Services, while making the most of the applications and systems that the University has to offer.

Working as part of a thriving and supportive team, you will have the ability to use your creativity to provide technical solutions in partnership with various areas within the University.

Working on a variety of small to medium projects, your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Develop strong rapport with business stakeholders to understand customer needs

  • Research and propose innovative technical solutions that meet customer requirements

  • Understand and capitalise on existing applications and systems within the University

  • Ensure timely and effective delivery of solutions to clients

  • Ensure detailed and effective documentation of technical services and processes

  • Provide subject matter expertise to clients as required

To be successful in this role, you will have an in-depth technical know-how of operating systems such as Linux, Mac and Windows and have experience in project managing smaller scale projects from inception to completion.  Ideally you will have also had exposure to configuring server operating systems and/or SaaS platforms.  You will enjoy the variety of opportunities that we have to offer you where 'monotony' is unheard of!  Working in a close knit team where you will have the ability to develop your skills through learning from colleagues in a collaborative manner.
