The Opportunity

Monash Residential Services (MRS) has an opportunity to join the team as an Admissions Officer.

The Admissions Officer coordinates daily operational aspects of student residential admissions. This is achieved by processing applications for accommodation at Monash Residential Services, maintaining budgeted occupancy levels, issuing invoices for accommodation and related charges, coordinating debt collection, and providing accurate and timely information regarding accommodation options.

As the successful candidate you’ll bring a hands-on approach to service provision and a strong commitment to customer service excellence. You will be responsible for coordinating applications, offer processing, allocations, and bookings for residency at Monash Residential Services including Short Term and Staff accommodation, ensuring the highest occupancy levels. Additionally, you will act as a source of expert advice to the customer in relation to accommodation options for students , drawing on thorough knowledge of policies and procedures and considering any interaction with related functions and wider University processes.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong student experience and data entry/management background or substantial relevant skills and work experience. The role requires a tertiary qualification in a relevant field; or substantial relevant skills and work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
