The Opportunity

Are you a data-driven problem solver ready to make a real impact in the medical field? Monash University’s prestigious School of Medicine, ranked among the best globally and home to Australia’s largest medical training program, is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to help transform healthcare through the power of data.

In this dynamic role, you’ll be at the forefront of innovation, applying advanced business intelligence and analytical techniques to uncover meaningful insights that drive strategic decisions across the School. You’ll lead the full lifecycle of data solution development, from planning and design to execution and policy creation, while collaborating with passionate professionals dedicated to improving health outcomes locally and globally.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver advanced data analytics and business intelligence solutions that drive strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to uncover insights and develop impactful data-driven strategies.
  • Lead data modelling, visualisation, and forecasting projects using tools like Python, SQL, and Power BI.
  • Design and maintain robust data pipelines and ensure data quality across systems.
  • Provide expert advice and contribute to policy and standards for data analytics across the University.

What You’ll Bring

  • Postgraduate qualifications in computing science or business, plus extensive relevant experience.
  • Deep expertise in data analytics, visualisation, and statistical analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, and agile project methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
