The primary focus of each role is facilitating effective delivery of high-quality teaching and learning opportunities for over 900 students each semester in the Faculty’s core science communication unit. Additionally, as members of the Faculty’s small central science communication and workplace learning team, you will help with facilitation and delivery of other units and events as required.
As one of the two successful candidates, you will work with other members of the team to:
-
Prepare teaching and learning resources and activities
-
Develop and contribute to systems for smooth teaching delivery and assessment at scale
-
Facilitate engaging weekly workshops for large groups of students from across the science faculty and beyond
-
Support student learning outside the classroom through in-person and online consultations and messaging systems
-
Assist with coordinating the team of sessional teaching and marking associates to ensure supportive, consistent and effective teaching and assessment experiences for all students in the unit
If you have an honours degree (or higher) in any field of science, a demonstrated passion for sharing scientific information with diverse audiences from expert scientists to the general public, strong initiative, adaptability and collaborative skills, and experience in the administration and delivery of mega-scale higher education units (800+ students), we want to hear from you!
