Based within the Pre-hospital, Emergency and Trauma Research (PET) Unit at the Monash School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, this role will provide high-level coordination, research support and operational leadership across multiple Connect-TBI workstreams. You’ll work closely with leading clinicians, researchers, health services and government stakeholders, contributing directly to translational research that improves patient outcomes.

Reporting to senior academic leaders at Monash University and Curtin University, this role offers a unique opportunity to operate at the intersection of clinical innovation, data, and health system improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support governance, planning and operational committees for the Connect-TBI project

  • Oversee delivery of high-quality research activities, ensuring timelines, protocols and compliance requirements are met

  • Support ethics and governance processes, including documentation and submissions

  • Coordinate day-to-day research operations, including data collection and data management activities

  • Contribute to the development of project materials, digital tools, reports, publications and research outputs

  • Liaise with investigators, clinical partners and external stakeholders to support collaboration and engagement

  • Identify risks, issues and improvement opportunities, providing solutions and advice

  • Maintain contemporary knowledge of research methodologies, data management and analysis in the field

About You

You are a proactive and highly organised research professional with strong project coordination skills and a passion for improving health outcomes through data-driven research. You thrive in complex, multi-stakeholder environments and are comfortable balancing independence with teamwork.

You will bring:

  • A relevant degree with substantial experience, or an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating or supporting research programs, trials or large-scale data initiatives

  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities

  • Experience working with multicentre datasets and data linkage

  • Proven ability to identify and resolve data quality, completeness and consistency issues

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing professional documentation
