The Opportunity
The Office of Quality and Group Policy has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Policy Adviser.
The Senior Policy Adviser contributes to the development, implementation and maintenance of the Monash Policy Framework and manages policy projects across the University and its controlled entities, as required. The Senior Policy Adviser provides expert policy advice to senior managers and for other University stakeholders and takes a lead role in University-wide policy communication.
As the successful candidate you will be responsible for initiating, conceptualising and managing policy and procedure development, review and approval in consultation with key stakeholders, ensuring the policies support the University’s strategic directions and enhancing institutional quality assurance and risk management. Further, you will provide support and advice to the Manager, Group Policy and Director, Office of Quality and Policy and other stakeholders about policy matters, utilising and integrating a high degree of knowledge across the range of University policies and external requirements.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong educational background or substantial relevant skills and work experience. The role requires postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
