The Opportunity

The Rural Health Placements Officer offers an exciting opportunity to join the Monash Rural Health team and support the delivery of key strategies programs and initiatives across the Rural Health Education portfolio. The position plays a central role in coordinating student allocations across four years of the Monash Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine program and works closely with the central faculty medicine placements team across the Monash Rural Health footprint. Strong collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders ensure coordinated efficient and reliable placement outcomes.

Responsibilities include managing placement administration, responding to enquiries, advising on policy and process and maintaining Clinical Placement Agreements across the School. The role also delivers high levels of customer service and supports committees, projects and reporting.

We are seeking demonstrated experience in high-quality administrative delivery supported by strong organisational skills sound judgement and a commitment to service excellence. Knowledge of student placement processes, data management and privacy and compliance requirements is essential alongside experience using student information systems and placement databases such as Callista Moodle Blackboard InPlace or similar platforms.
