The Opportunity

The Admissions Officer is located within University Marketing, Admissions and Communications (UMAC). The Division is focused on ensuring our audiences have the best possible experience - personalised to their interest and the way they want to engage with Monash.

The Admissions Officer provides high-quality administrative and customer service support to the Admissions function, delivering a broad range of activities including the assessment of complex applications, communication of outcomes, processing of acceptances, issuing confirmations of enrolment, responding to enquiries, advising on admissions policies and procedures, supporting projects, and producing reports in line with agreed standards and timeframes.

The role ensures high service standards through prompt issue resolution and compliance with privacy, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements, including student visa processes. It involves the accurate input, analysis, and management of data and records, providing sound and timely advice to staff, students, agents, and other stakeholders, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining effective working relationships to support quality service delivery.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in student admissions for universities or TAFEs, with knowledge of educational systems, visa regulations, and national codes. They will possess strong administrative and organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage operational processes effectively. Highly developed communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
