The Opportunity

The Producer is part of a programming team responsible for developing, sourcing, selecting and managing arts events and creative developments presented by MPAC, under the guidelines of MPAC’s programming framework. The Producer manages the presentation of each event from beginning to end, ensuring all administrative and production aspects are met within the approved guidelines, budgets and deadlines.

As the successful candidate you will be responsible for negotiating and delivering all administrative, scheduling and production aspects of MPAC’s theatre, dance and performance events, creative developments, site and participatory activations. Further, you will work with the Head of Programming on developing, sourcing and selecting theatre, dance and performance events presented by MPAC for future seasons, aligning with MPAC’s Strategic Objectives, as well as establishing project partnerships with University departments, faculties and research communities, as relevant to MPAC creative developments and commissions. 

The ideal candidate will bring a strong educational background or substantial relevant skills and work experience. The role requires a degree in an art discipline or relevant field with subsequent relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
