The Opportunity

We are seeking a Workforce Team Leader to play a key role to support the effective operation of the University’s centralised assessment operations, with a focus on eExam support staff recruitment, rostering and communications.

The successful candidate will manage and oversee the recruitment, contract, rostering and timesheet approval for all eExam support staff in line with University Policy. You will act as the subject matter expert for projects and programs, ensuring excellence in process and judgement, to provide sound and timely advice and support to clients, staff and other stakeholders.

Reporting to the Senior Exam Delivery Advisor, this role offers a unique opportunity to be a part of a high functioning team of professionals who go above and beyond to support students each and every day, whilst coaching and mentoring assessment support staff in the workforce team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise workforce staff to administer the development of, maintenance and distribution of assessment staff support rosters

  • Provide strategic support to the Operational Exam Delivery Manager and Senior Exam Delivery Advisor

  • Provide expert and authoritative customer service 

  • Provide leadership, supervision and guidance to team members

  • Contribute in identifying process, procedure, and system improvements

About You

You are a proactive and highly organised individual with expert administrative skills and a passion for improving processes to support large operational objectives. You thrive in a fast paced, complex environment that places student experience at the forefront of all decision making. 

You will bring:

  • A relevant degree with subsequent relevant experience, or extensive experience or broad knowledge in administrative fields, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or eduction/training

  • Staff management & leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop staff

  • Advanced organisational skills, including the ability to set prioritise & manage time to meet deadlines

  • Excellent administrative skills and a capacity to develop and implement effective processes

  • A strong commitment to customer service

  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders

  • Highly developed computer literacy
