The Opportunity
Ready to step into a high-impact leadership role where strategy meets action? This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of the Buildings & Property Division by driving strategy, performance, and transformation at scale.
As a Manager, Strategy & Performance, you’ll lead the development, implementation and delivery of the Division’s Enabling Impact Plan, working shoulder-to-shoulder with senior leaders and stakeholders to turn bold ideas into tangible outcomes. This role is perfect for a strategic thinker who thrives on influence, collaboration, and making change stick.
This role sits at the heart of the Division’s strategic agenda. You’ll be a trusted adviser to the executive team, a champion of organisational capability uplift, and a driver of innovation, continuous improvement, and change. This role acts as the key liaison with Monash HR and drives L&D initiatives and staff development.
You’ll bring people together, cut through complexity, and ensure the Division is positioned to deliver on its priorities now and into the future.
What you will be doing

Lead the strategy cycle: Manage the 3–5 year planning horizon and drive the development and delivery of annual Enabling Plan actions and outcomes.

Turn strategy into action: Design and lead a program of strategic initiatives that directly support Enabling Plan goals.

Be a trusted adviser: Provide high-level advice on strategy execution, organisational performance, engagement, and leadership development.

Deliver complex initiatives: Oversee priority Enabling Impact Plan initiatives using best-practice project and change management approaches.

Build capability: Strengthen organisational capability in innovation, business improvement, and change management—and embed best practice.

Lead communication and engagement: Support executive leadership with strategic communications and meaningful staff engagement activities.

Provide insight and analysis: Lead complex research and data analysis to inform executive decision-making and manage risk.
What You'll Bring
You’re a confident leader and strategic operator with a proven ability to influence at senior levels. You’ll also bring:

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively

Extensive experience delivering business transformation, organisational development, and change initiatives

Strong project management capability, including budget oversight in large, complex environments

Outstanding relationship-building and negotiation skills

Highly developed analytical, research, and problem-solving skills

A strong track record in identifying risks, emerging issues, and opportunities

Experience developing and delivering major programs and strategies with diverse stakeholders

Demonstrated people leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and lead high-performing teams and mentor junior staff.

Sound judgement, discretion, and attention to detail when handling sensitive information
