The Opportunity
Monash University is seeking a highly organised and motivated Senior Research Officer to support the Australasian Pelvic Floor Procedure Registry (APFPR) within the Clinical Outcomes data Reporting and Research Program (CORRP).
Based at 553 St Kilda Road, this role contributes to a Commonwealth Government funded national clinical quality registry that monitors outcomes of procedures for stress urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. Established following a Senate Inquiry into complications associated with pelvic mesh devices, the APFPR plays a critical role in improving patient safety, transparency and quality of care across Australia.
As Senior Research Officer, you will lead the coordination of Human Research Ethics and local governance submissions across multiple jurisdictions, support hospital and surgeon recruitment and onboarding, and contribute to high quality reporting and data quality activities. You will work as part of an expert multidisciplinary team delivering registry operations from site engagement through to data management, analysis and reporting.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to nationally significant research that directly informs clinical practice, policy and regulatory oversight.
About You
You will bring strong experience in research ethics and governance, ideally across multiple jurisdictions, together with exceptional organisational and project coordination skills.
You will demonstrate:
• Experience preparing and coordinating Human Research Ethics and governance submissions
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
• Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clinicians, researchers, consumers and stakeholders
• Experience working with sensitive health data in a research or healthcare setting
• A collaborative approach combined with initiative and sound judgement
Experience with clinical registries, REDCap or similar database systems, and familiarity with health terminology will be highly regarded.
