The Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in a major university-wide transformation, supporting the implementation of a new Time & Attendance framework that will shape how workforce operations are managed into the future. As Project Officer, you will sit at the centre of this change working across faculties, engaging with a diverse stakeholder group, and directly influencing the successful transition from legacy systems to modern, streamlined processes.

You will gain exposure to complex, high-volume operational environments while building deep expertise in payroll compliance, workforce data integrity, and system implementation. The role offers a unique blend of project delivery and hands-on operational support, allowing you to apply both strategic thinking and practical problem-solving skills in a dynamic setting.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys working with data and systems, and is motivated by delivering tangible improvements to processes and user experience. You will have the opportunity to strengthen your project management capabilities, develop stakeholder engagement skills, and contribute to establishing consistent, sustainable business practices across the University.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience supporting projects through to completion, delivering outcomes in line with agreed standards and timeframes.

  • Proven commitment to delivering excellent customer service, with a hands-on approach and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling sensitive or confidential information.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.

  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, interpret data, and implement effective solutions.

  • High level of computer literacy, including experience with enterprise business systems (e.g. SAP) and data management tools.
