The Opportunity

The Department of Marketing at Monash Business School is seeking to appoint a Lecturer to join its academic team. In this role, you will contribute to high-quality teaching through the design and delivery of engaging lectures, tutorials, workshops and seminars across undergraduate and postgraduate programs. You will contribute to unit coordination and associated academic administration, including the leadership of teaching teams and the provision of high-quality learning experiences for students. As opportunities arise, you will also contribute to the supervision of Honours, Masters and PhD students.

Alongside your teaching, you will pursue an ambitious and coherent program of research, with the aspiration to publish in leading international marketing journals and attract competitive external research funding. You will seek opportunities to engage with industry and other external partners to generate meaningful research impact and contribute actively to the intellectual life of the Department, Business School and wider academic community. You will also support the Business School's commitment to accreditation standards and its expectations of excellence in research, education and service.

The successful candidate will have recently completed a PhD in Marketing from a highly regarded institution and demonstrate excellent research training, a strong emerging research trajectory, and a clear commitment to publishing in top-tier international marketing journals. You will bring expertise in digital and multimodal advertising analytics, with demonstrated capability in applying advanced quantitative, experimental and/or biometric methods to understand advertising effectiveness and consumer response.

Importantly, this expertise will enable you to contribute to the development of distinctive and contemporary teaching capability within the Department in areas such as AI and advertising analytics. An ability to translate emerging analytical methods and technologies into engaging, research-led learning experiences with a proven track record of direct collaboration with industry partners on research projects will be particularly valued.
