The Opportunity

The Department of Marketing is seeking a Lecturer to join the team. In this role, you will contribute to high-quality teaching within the Department through the design and delivery of engaging lectures, tutorials, workshops, and seminars. You will play an active role in subject coordination and academic administration, including leading tutor teams and supporting student learning across undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will also supervise Honours, postgraduate, and/or PhD students, fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.

Alongside teaching, you will actively pursue a strong research agenda, aiming to publish in leading marketing journals and develop a coherent program of research capable of attracting external funding. You will engage with industry to deliver real-world research impact and contribute to the broader academic community through participation in departmental and faculty activities. You will also support the Faculty’s commitment to accreditation standards and uphold its values in research, teaching, and service.

As the successful candidate, you will have recently completed or be nearing completion of a PhD in Marketing from a highly regarded institution and demonstrate strong research training with a commitment to publishing in top-tier marketing journals. You will have experience or motivation to supervise Honours, Masters, and PhD students, and the ability to engage and inspire students across a range of subjects, including innovation management, new product development, technology commercialisation, and competitive strategy. You will be enthusiastic about applying diverse pedagogical approaches, collaborating collegially with colleagues, contributing to institutional and professional service, and engaging with industry and external stakeholders to support impactful teaching and research.
