The Opportunity

Play a pivotal role in shaping the future of philanthropy at Monash University as a Manager, Leadership Gifts.

The Advancement team is seeking a strategic and relationship‑driven Manager, Leadership Gifts to grow our community of leadership‑level donors (giving $1k–$50k annually) and strengthen the pipeline between annual giving, bequests and major gifts. In this influential role, you’ll design and deliver programs that inspire donors, deepen engagement and drive philanthropic investment in the University’s bold priorities.

Working with autonomy and collaborating closely with colleagues across Advancement, you’ll lead cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategies, develop compelling donor communications, and champion best‑practice fundraising approaches. You’ll also oversee stewardship activities, including an annual scholarship donor event and contribute to key fundraising metrics, reporting, and compliance processes.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong educational background or substantial relevant skills and work experience. The role requires postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or extensive management experience and proven management expertise, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
