The Opportunity
Monash University Museum of Art has an exciting opportunity for a Visitor Experience Officer.
The Visitor Experience Officer plays a key role in supporting all front-of-house operations at Monash University Museum of Art (MUMA), including visitor experience, the bookshop, reception and the volunteer program.
As the successful candidate you will be responsible for ensuring a welcoming, informative, and efficient experience for visitors, providing orientation and facilitating engagement with museum programs and the campus. You will perform a variety of administrative tasks, including managing established processes, preparing Front of House exhibition access and communication plans, maintaining databases, recording attendance, developing surveys and generating reports. Further, you will support the scheduling of tours and school group visits, welcome groups in an informed manner, contributing to MUMA’s visitor engagement and education strategy.
The ideal candidate will bring an educational background or substantial relevant skills and work experience. The role requires a diploma level qualification or with relevant work-related experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
