Remuneration: $227,857 pa Level 10C (plus 17% employer superannuation), although a competitive package may be applied for an experienced candidate

As the Director, Development – Major Gifts, you will play a pivotal, high-profile role in shaping this next era of growth by leading a high-performing team to secure transformational philanthropic support. Reporting to the Senior Director, Integrated Philanthropy, you will oversee key fundraising programs and bring a university-wide perspective to champion major gift strategies ($100,000 to $5M+). In addition to inspiring, coaching, and managing a team of fundraisers, you will personally manage a portfolio of high-value prospects, serving as a trusted strategic advisor to Deans, and senior leadership across the University.
We are seeking an accomplished, visionary fundraising leader with a proven track record of securing major gifts within large, complex environments. You bring exceptional relationship management and consulting skills, alongside the strategic capability required to identify high-impact funding opportunities, as well as helping to design and execute key initiatives for Monash’s next comprehensive campaign. You excel at leading, coaching and empowering high-performing teams, with a genuine passion for developing emerging talent and building a collaborative, high-trust culture.
