The Opportunity

The Australian Centre for Jewish Civilisation (ACJC) is a leading research and teaching centre dedicated to the interdisciplinary study of Jewish history, culture, religion and contemporary issues. As part of this dynamic environment, the Impact Officer plays a key role in supporting the Monash Initiative for Rapid Research into Antisemitism (MIRRA), contributing to efforts that address complex social challenges and foster greater intercultural understanding.

As an Impact Officer, you will support the delivery, evaluation and continuous improvement of MIRRA programs and initiatives. You will work closely with the Senior Policy Advisor and project teams to coordinate activities, monitor and assess program impact, and develop systems and frameworks to strengthen outcomes. The position involves a blend of research, analysis and project coordination, including stakeholder engagement across government, community and academic sectors. You will contribute to program planning, policy support and the development of new initiatives, helping ensure MIRRA’s work delivers meaningful, evidence-based impact in complex social and policy environments.

As the successful candidate, you will hold a degree in a relevant field with subsequent experience, or an equivalent combination of education and professional expertise. You will bring strong analytical, research and data analysis skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective processes and systems to support program delivery and evaluation.

You will be highly organised, with proven project coordination skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. You will work effectively both independently and as part of a team, demonstrate sound judgement, and adhere to confidentiality and research ethics principles. With highly developed written and verbal communication skills, you will engage confidently with diverse stakeholders and produce clear, insightful outputs. You will also have experience with relevant technologies, strong problem-solving ability, and a demonstrated capacity to support research-informed or policy-related projects.
