The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Operations professional, with a meticulous eye for detail and a keen analytical mind. You will be able to manage a diverse range of tasks from formatting documents, through trouble-shooting systems challenges, to helping improve data for organisational insights.
As part of a small ‘team within a team’, you will support the lawyers and stakeholders of the Office of the General Counsel (OGC) at Monash University. Your commitment as a collaborative team player will help drive the success of the Legal Operations team and the OGC more broadly. If you thrive under pressure, are a quick learner and enjoy embracing change for organisational benefit, we want to hear from you! Join us and make a meaningful impact with your exceptional team spirit.
As Legal Operations Officer, you will provide vital administrative and operational support to the OGC, working on a shared role account with your Legal Operations colleagues. This position will be responsible for delivering a wide range of administrative services that support the OGC’s day-to-day operations. You’ll support key processes and project implementation, helping to organise and maintain data across systems to enhance financial reporting and dashboard accuracy. Collaborating with various teams, you’ll contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, assist in the delivery of streamlined workflows, and ensure the highest standards of service, compliance, and confidentiality are maintained. Your work will directly support the delivery of enhanced, client-focused legal services at Monash.
To be successful in this role you will have exceptional communication and trouble-shooting skills, along with strong attention to detail and a customer-focused mindset. You’ll bring excellent time management, sound judgement, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Your digital literacy and adaptability in using multiple online platforms, with a commitment to confidentiality, will be essential in supporting high-quality outcomes within a dynamic legal environment.
