The Opportunity
The Academic Planning and Resources Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the effective delivery of teaching and workforce planning within the Faculty. Working as part of the Academic Planning and Resources team, you will coordinate academic workload allocation and resourcing, provide advice on workload policies and procedures, analyse workforce data, and support strategic planning to ensure teaching activities are appropriately staffed and resourced.
You will also coordinate sessional academic appointments, offshore teaching arrangements, conference funding and travel processes, and mandatory compliance activities. The role requires strong stakeholder engagement skills, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to manage a range of administrative and planning functions while contributing to a safe and compliant working environment.
As the successful candidate, you will bring exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and consistently deliver high-quality outcomes within tight deadlines. You will be a confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills, capable of building effective relationships and working collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders while maintaining discretion and professionalism.
You will have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Your ability to interpret and communicate policies and procedures, provide sound advice, and deliver high-quality customer service will be complemented by a commitment to continuous improvement, stakeholder engagement, and contributing to a positive team culture.
