The Opportunity

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the ERP Lead, People Systems will drive the strategic direction, design and delivery of Monash University’s HR ERP ecosystem. As the successful candidate, you will champion an integrated, high‑performing People Systems environment that enhances workforce insights, operational efficiency, and the overall employee experience. Acting as a critical bridge between key project teams, you will ensure total system integrity and alignment across Monash HR and eSolutions. 

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the end‑to‑end People Systems function, including HRIS, payroll, time and attendance, and associated platforms.
  • Define and deliver the HR ERP strategy, future‑state processes and operating frameworks.
  • Oversee complex ERP program delivery, ensuring successful implementation and transition to business‑as‑usual.
  • Drive process standardisation, governance, risk management and audit readiness.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across HR, Finance, IT and enterprise functions to secure alignment and informed decision‑making.
  • Lead organisational change, capability uplift and readiness activities to support enterprise‑wide transformation.

About You

You have a proven track record of leading large-scale transformation and system implementation projects within highly complex organisations. Your ability to influence at executive levels, navigate competing priorities, and translate complex business needs into practical, scalable solutions will be vital. Highly sophisticated digital literacy, experience with Tier-1 platforms (such as Workday or SAP), and a high level of professional judgement will see you excel in this critical enterprise role.
